40 Years of Chaos · EP.10 — PPC Live and the Tape-Trading World
The Psycho Pain Control era was played out on stages across the province and beyond. The Blaster Pub in Monsano was the home venue: 22 February 1996 with a special guest, then Metal Day 3 on 8 June 1996 alongside Excrania, Vortice Cremisi, Amnesia, Kut Grace, Lamiera and Tides. In between, the Chemical Alternative Club in Cattolica on 27 April 1996 with Vortice Cremisi, after the January road trip to Giovinazzo with Undertakers and Natron.
On 15 March 1997 came one of the most important slots of the era: Italian Assault Part II at the Blaster, an extreme death metal night headlined by Sadist, Detestor and Necromass, with AydrA as special guest. On their own home stage, the band stood alongside internationally recognized names.
On 27 June 1998 a circle closed. AydrA shared the Festa della Birra bill with Kurnalcool for the launch of Bumba Atomika, the band that had shared the cemetery caretaker's rehearsal room in Falconara twelve years earlier.
Meanwhile the music travelled without them. The Dawn of Sadness Krohnik Series promo cassette went out hand-numbered to fanzines, college radios and underground magazines, and Psycho Pain Control was reissued on cassette in Malaysia. In the pre-internet nineties, tape-trading was the network.
