40 Years of Chaos · EP.24 — Forever Hide

On 22 July 2024 AydrA released Forever Hide, their first new track since Hyperlogical Non-Sense in 2004. Twenty years of silence broken in one stroke. The single anticipated Leave to Nowhere, the album that would arrive on 10 October, and it carried the full weight of a band stepping back into the light after almost a decade off the radar.

Inside the album's narrative, Forever Hide tells the stage of the journey that comes after the crossing: clandestine life in Europe. The invisibility of someone who has survived the desert, the Libyan camps and the Mediterranean, only to reach a continent that often refuses to welcome them. Hiding stops being a tactic and becomes a condition — permanent, forever.

Andrea Masso Massetti, on bass for the Leave to Nowhere recordings, gave an important contribution to the writing of this song: one of the clearest examples of how the record grew as a collective laboratory rather than a sum of separate parts.

Then came something nobody had planned for. The press reaction ran from Brazil to Mexico, from Romania to Italy, and it changed the band's mind: AydrA understood they could no longer remain only a studio band. They had to go back on stage.
