40 Years of Chaos · EP.27 — Leave to Nowhere: The Album

10 October 2024. Leave to Nowhere is released on Rude Awakening, on CD, vinyl and digital — the third AydrA album, and the first new material in twenty years.

The record was written slowly between 2018 and 2021 and completed during the lockdown. With live work impossible, Marco Bianchella recorded the drums at his own WR Studios in Ancona, playing the songs until he knew every passage by heart; Mauro, Giuseppe, Luca and Masso tracked their parts from home and sent them back for the mix. It was the only possible way for the band to keep existing.

Then the album waited. Ready in the summer of 2021, it stayed suspended while life demanded its bill first, and while AydrA — an analog creature in a digital age — rebuilt a presence that had disappeared. Only after the January 2024 meeting with Gabriele Cruz of Rude Awakening did the release finally get its date.

Recorded and mixed at WR Studios by Marco Bianchella, mastered by Paolo Ojetti at Castaway Studios, with cover art from Luca Morici's painting Delirio. Five musicians: Mauro Pacetti, Giuseppe Cardamone, Luca Calò, Andrea Masso Massetti, Marco Bianchella. Ten tracks. One journey.
