Leave to Nowhere tells one story, stage by stage: forced migration. Not pain in the abstract, but a precise route, inspired by the flight of Eritrean migrants from a dictatorship where military service can become a sentence without end, and where leaving automatically makes you a deserter.

The record moves like a journey. Deserter opens with the escape from the regime. Black Skin and Red Sand crosses the desert. Make Slaves enters the horror of the Libyan camps. Lost Between Two Lands is the Mediterranean, suspended between salvation and death. Forever Hide is the hidden life in Europe. They Waste a Throne points at the dictator. Three Minutes Walk closes with the tragic cost of the whole journey, and the instrumental title track gathers the emotional weight of everything that came before.

The roots of the concept are personal. Mauro Pacetti had followed wars and exoduses for years, and wrote his psychology thesis on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Andrea Mastro Mastromarco spent years in Africa with Doctors Without Borders, touching those realities with his own hands. Their dialogue became the ground the album grew from.

The band prefers to call it a narrative rather than a concept: each song stands alone, and together they answer one question. Where do you go, when there is no place left to stay?
