40 Years of Chaos · EP.29 — Delirio: The Cover Art

The face of Leave to Nowhere is a painting. Delirio, by Luca Morici, adapted into the album's official artwork: anguish, disorientation and no way out — the same journey from Eritrea to Europe that the record narrates, compressed into a single image.

Morici was born in Ancona in 1974 and lives and works in Castel d'Emilio. A self-taught painter with a versatile, eclectic style, he is also part of AydrA's own history: in the nineties he was a thrash guitarist with Endrenalization and shared the stage with the band many times. A solid friendship grew out of those years. Much later, Mauro, fascinated by the direction Morici's painting career had taken, bought Delirio directly from him — long before it became an album cover.

It is not his only work in the AydrA orbit. Morici also created the covers for the Russian and Panamanian reissues of Icon of Sin, and the artwork for the TribalStep single All One Tribe.

Outside music he is a leading Italian figure in scientific outreach through comics, with the graphic novels Viaggio al centro del cervello, winner of the Cosmos Prize in 2024, and Dio gioca a dadi con il mondo, on quantum mechanics. Two creative gems from the same province, meeting on one sleeve.
