It closes the story told in Leave to Nowhere: the journey of a migrant from Eritrea to Europe, an album that ends with him digging his own grave. This song is the voice of what is left.

Three guests

Mick Montaguti of Electrocution sings on it, and co-wrote the lyrics with Mauro Pacetti — written with four hands.

Tommy Talamanca of Sadist plays the first guitar solo.

Francesco Olivi, AydrA lead guitarist from 1992 to 2007 and the writer of many songs on Icon of Sin and Hyperlogical Non-sense, plays the second — coming back to work on an AydrA song after almost twenty years. His fifteen years in the band are told in The First Forty Years.

The artwork

The cover is an original painting by Luca Morici, the artist behind Delirio — the artwork of Leave to Nowhere — and the covers of the Russian and Panamanian reissues of Icon of Sin. Painted by hand with a palette knife: no AI, no filters.

On the same day

The full playthrough video comes out on 23 October as well: the whole band plus the three guests, filmed part by part. The lyric video follows on 6 November, edited by Mick Montaguti from the plates of the Leave to Nowhere comic.
